Thank you all for your interest in the NDT classroom training courses. Based on the NDT community's response to our recent survey, we are pleased to announce that the Hampton Roads Section of ASNT has been able to offer classroom training for liquid penetrant testing (PT), ultrasonic testing (UT) and Visual Testing (VT).

ASNT SNT-TC1A requires that candidates for certification have documented completion of classroom training hours and experience hours followed by testing. These courses are designed to satisfy the recommended classroom hours of ASNT SNT-TC1A 2006. There will be a written test at the end of the course to demonstrate an understanding of the course material. After satisfactory completion of the course requirements, a Certificate of Completion will be provided to the student for documentation purposes. Certification tests (i.e. general, specific and practical tests) will not be given, and no certification will be granted. Certification is the responsibility of the employer.

The fees above include classroom training and instructional manual that you will keep after the class. The additional non-member fee of $65 may be used to cover the cost of an annual ASNT membership at a reduced price (regular price is $75). As long as the student has an active ASNT membership on the first day of the class, the $65 membership fee will not be invoked.
These classes will be offered on a first-come first-served basis, so please respond quickly since we expect classes to fill up quickly.
In order to attend either of these classes, you will need to fill out the attached form and mail it along with a check for the applicable amount shown above. We will need a separate application (and ASNT membership application, if applicable) for each individual attending class. One check may be provided to cover the cost of multiple people if being paid by the same company. I have attached both a Word and PDF version for your convenience.
We plan to offer more classes in the future in additional methods and levels to assist you with your NDT training needs.
